In shortCasonas MX gathers private historic homes inside Campeche's walled center, minutes apart on foot. A single house sleeps up to 10 guests; combining properties, up to 58 guests across 21 bedrooms. Weddings, team retreats and family reunions are quoted per night and per house, from $150 USD (Narrativ lofts) to $650+ USD (Casa Japa). Every inquiry is answered personally by Irma and Sébastien, usually the same day.

Why groups come here

Campeche hasn't gone mass-market, and that's the reason it works for groups. Destination weddings here don't compete with twelve other parties on the same weekend. Family reunions don't share a hotel lobby with strangers. The wall keeps the noise out.

The collection's strength is flexibility of scale: from a single house for ten to a block of neighboring properties for the whole group. Large enough for a wedding, intimate enough that everyone still knows each other's names by Sunday breakfast.

We coordinate the architecture (which courtyard for ceremony, which for reception), connect you with the local team (florist, planner, music, transport) and host all guests across the combined properties. Civil ceremonies inside the walled city are arranged through the local registry.

The Group Concierge covers the event design within the architecture, the block of houses and bedroom assignments, the local team (planner, florist, music, transport), the table (private chef and long-table dinners at home), and the welcome of every guest at every property.

Voices from the groups

What groups
carry with them.

Campeche is a hidden gem of Yucatan Peninsula and Sebastien the host made sure we enjoy it as much as we did. [...] if you are coming to Campeche in larger groups make sure to check Casa Japa - stunning colonial house in heart of the city, absolutely beautiful!!

There's an understated grace that fills this spectacular home. The super chill cocktail pool on the rooftop provided both hours of scenic views and great hang out time. [...] If you appreciate impressive, inspired, comfortable class, this is the place for you to stay.

Frequently asked questions

Before you write

How many guests can Casonas MX host for an event or group?

A single house sleeps up to 10 guests (Casa Japa). Combining neighboring properties inside the walled city, capacity reaches 58 guests across 21 bedrooms. The most frequent combinations: Casa Japa + Casa Pistache (14), La Casa Verde + Casa Zotz (14), and all four Narrativ lofts (16).

How is a group booking quoted?

Per night and per house. Individual rates range from $150 USD per night at the Narrativ lofts to $650+ USD at Casa Japa. After receiving your form, we propose the block of houses and a tailored quote based on dates and group size.

What does coordination include?

Designing the event within the architecture (which courtyard for the ceremony, which for the reception), connecting you with the local team (planner, florist, music, transport), and hosting all guests across the combined properties.

Can the ceremony take place inside a house?

Yes. The casonas' courtyards host intimate ceremonies and dinners, and civil ceremonies inside the walled city are arranged through the local registry. For large receptions we work with the bastions and historic haciendas nearby.

Do the houses work for team retreats?

Yes. Teams combine two or three adjacent houses, with long courtyard tables, private kitchens and high-speed WiFi (250 Mbps at Casa Pistache). See our guide to corporate retreats in Campeche.

What is the cancellation policy for groups?

It depends on the property. In all cases, 100% refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking; after that, 95% and 50% refunds apply depending on notice: up to 6 and 3 weeks before check-in at Casa Japa, Casa Zotz and La Casa Verde; up to 20 and 7 days at the other casonas; up to 7 days at the Narrativ lofts. Group bookings are coordinated directly via WhatsApp or [email protected].

How is payment structured for a group booking?

The block is confirmed with a deposit and the payment schedule is set in the quote, according to dates and group size. We accept credit card, bank transfer and PayPal.

Is there a minimum stay for groups?

It depends on the season and the houses in the block; on high-demand dates some houses require a minimum number of nights. We confirm it along with the quote.

How late can there be music at a celebration?

The courtyards host dinners and celebrations with music at a convivial volume: the walled city is a lived-in historic centre and we look after our neighbors. For a long party with a DJ or live band we work with the bastions and haciendas nearby, where the celebration can run late.

Do the houses work for older guests or reduced mobility?

Several houses have a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom; others have staircases typical of the original architecture. Tell us your group’s needs and we will propose the right bedroom assignments within the block.

Do you issue invoices for corporate bookings?

Yes. For retreats and company bookings we issue a Mexican tax invoice (CFDI) with your organization’s fiscal details.

How does a group get to Campeche?

Campeche airport (CPE) has direct flights from Mexico City; the alternative is Mérida (MID), about two hours away by highway, with a wider international offer. We coordinate group transfers by van or bus from both.
